Job Description for Software Sales Manager
  • Must have proven result-driven experience in running Sales pipeline, sales funnel.
  • Must have good experience working with Software Application portfolio. Working experience with Infrastructure portfolio will be an added advantage.
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through GeM Portal, Cold Calling, Networking, and Social Media in Government & Corporate sectors.
  • Engaging with existing customers for cross-selling & up-selling of products and services.
  • Having good management skills to manage opportunity pipeline and customer relationship.
  • Ensure smooth customer onboarding and account management.
  • Ensure billing cycle management (coordination with operations), timely payment from the accounts handled and take ownership for any reconciliation issues (if any).
  • Responsible to liaise with external and internal stakeholders to address and resolve customer queries/grievances.
  • Work with the solutions architects, product managers and Alliance Manager/Research/Inside sales/New Business Operations teams to generate more revenue.
  • Support the main clients after sales, making sure the solutions work and fit with their needs in coordination with account manager.
  • We also expect strong networking with executives from big enterprises and skills to influence Sales teams to collaborate.


Experience & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or technology related fields preferred or equivalent experience. Master’s would be an added advantage.
  • 5+ years of domestic (India) sales experience.
  • Proven track record of meeting targets, consistently increasing the revenue YoY.
  • Must have experience and a proven Sales methodology including pipeline management, forecasting and Prospecting for New Opportunities.
  • Must have experience in presenting to prospects and customers throughout any phase of the sales cycle.
  • Strong ability to interact and influence effectively with C-level executives and team members.
  • Proficient in contract negotiations is must.
